Event Navigation

Post Productions in association with Waawiiyaatanong Feminist Theatre present Three Tall Women by Edward Albee at The Shadowbox Theatre on February 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25 & 26, 2022.
In this Pulitzer Prize-winning play, an elderly woman’s life is laid out for display as her memories and reminiscences are unceremoniously examined, and she is forced to ponder who she is and how she came to be that way. Through the play’s vivid characters, audiences will find themselves contemplating their own lives from different perspectives, and re-living the moments that matter most.
In the first act, the elderly woman, known only as A, struggles to hold on to her dignity in the face of dementia and disability while visiting with her live-in nurse, known only as B, and the lawyer who manages her estate, known only as C. Although their conversations can be prickly, they gradually come to understand one another.
In the second act, we’re taken inside the woman’s mind as she’s dying, where three versions of herself at different ages (92, 52, and 26) compare notes and take stock of the journey her life has been, replete with hoys and sorrows, tragedies and triumphs, regrets and points of pride.
