The Bishop Boys Pelee Island EP Release Concert
February 15 @ 9:00 pm
Local singer/songwriter duo, The Bishop Boys debut Pelee Island EP album release party takes place at Meteor in downtown Windsor on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
In October 2019, the Bishop Boys (consisting of an eight-piece band led by Andrew Adoranti and Austin Di Pietro) travelled to their quaint cottage rental on the Northwest side of Pelee Island where they recorded four tracks that would make up the Pelee Island EP. “We attempted to capture the aura of Pelee Island with lyrics conjuring carefree summer nights, beaches and sunsets, and an instrumentation of dreamy guitar melodies and mellow organ tones,” said Di Pietro.
The Bishop Boys began their career onstage in the summer of 2018, and in that short time have opened for award-winning Canadian folk artist Abigail Lapell, performed at the 2018 Island Unplugged and 2019 Tecumseh Corn Festivals, and regularly play to sold-out audiences at local venues such as Phog Lounge and Green Bean Cafe. Their debut single, “Might Be Alright” (released in September 2018), attracted a significant amount of attention and received airplay on CBC Windsor, CJAM 99.1fm, AM800, and 93.9fm the River.
The Pelee Island EP is available on Spotify, Apple Music, and on all digital music platforms.
