Amherstburg River Lights Winter Festival 2020
November 14, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - January 4, 2021 @ 9:30 pm
The 14th Annual River Lights Winter Festival will be a little different this year due to the pandemic but there’s no question that Amherstburg is immersed in the holiday spirit. The town’s two main parks, Toddy Jones Park and King’s Navy Yard Park, will light up the town every night with 100’s of customized LED light displays between November 14 to January 4, 2021.
Toddy Jones Park features whimsical, playful displays for the kids and the kid at heart to enjoy. Along the Detroit River, visit the King’s Navy Yard Park. You will see traditional displays that showcase the warm hearted feel of the season with carolers, angels, soldiers and more.
The downtown businesses are lit up for the holiday season and encourage you to stop by, warm up and shop local this year.
Visiting River Lights has become a tradition for many families … make it one of yours!
The town asks that all COVID-19 regulations and social distancing from families are adhered to while safely visiting the parks.
Amherstburg Holiday House Tour Replaced by Holiday Stroll
The new Outdoor Holiday Stroll replaces the Holiday House Tour and runs from Nov. 14 to the end of Dec.
Until the town can present the traditional Holiday House Tour again, proud homeowners along one of the oldest streets in Amherstburg have uniquely decorated their front yards and porches in holiday style. Rankin Avenue, in the heart of downtown and across the street from the River Lights displays in Kings Navy Yard Park, will be lit and decorated for outdoor, sidewalk strollers during November and December. Please stay on the sidewalk as all COVID-19 and social distancing regulations apply.
