There was an invasion of Killer Dwarfs at Rockstar Music Hall Friday April 26th and no one seemed to mind, in fact people were downright excited. Dwarf Nation as fans are known, showed up in strength to see their heroes play an energetic set of uplifting heavy metal madness led by original band member, the corny and charismatic Russell “Dwarf” Graham.
Graham with his long hair and beard looks and acts the part of crazy, telling corny jokes and literally rolling around on the stage, but it’s all part of the act. The band encouraged fans to get up and it became one big party with everyone in the house.
The band also features fellow founding member, drummer Darrell “Dwarf” Millar, guitarist Gerry “Dwarf” Finn and bassist Johnny “Dwarf” Fenton. Opening with the anthem “Comin Through”, The Killer Dwarfs songs are full of fight and spirit like “Stand Tall” and Keep The Spirit Alive”.
With songs like this it’s not surprising that they have a loyal following that has kept the multi-Juno nominated internationally acclaimed rockers playing for almost 40 years now. After the show the band hung out with fans, posing for photos and signing merchandise.
