Christian Vegh Thrills Hometown During Lasalle Strawberry Fest With Only Local Appearance

Since his early teens, LaSalle native and guitarist Christian Vegh has demonstrated six string skills beyond his years. Recently Vegh rocked in front of his hometown crowd during the 31st Annual LaSalle Strawberry Festival when he headlined the show following the fireworks on Friday, June 8, 2018. This is the only local show Vegh will perform in the area this year.

The singer/songwriter/musician’s biography on his website states, “Christian Vegh has been referred to as a ‘young guitar prodigy with an old soul’, and the ‘type of young artist that will shape Canadian music for the next 50 years’.”
While Vegh is just 21 years old, he has already accomplished a lot; From winning awards and competitions, to putting out 2 EPs, a single, and working with some of world’s most renowned members of the music industry.

In a Facebook post on May 29, 2018, Christian Vegh announced that he will be interning with the legendary Warren Huart in Los Angeles, California. Huart is a multi-platinum record producer, musician, songwriter, and sound engineer known for working with numerous television shows, Hollywood films, and some of the world’s most successful artists today. His film credits include Inglorious Bastards, and Transformers 2. T.V. credits include MTV’s The Hills, Grey’s Anatomy, and The Vampire Diaries. Music credits include Aerosmith, The Frays, Korn, and James Blunt. Without question this internship will be an amazing opportunity for Vegh.
Christian has been attending the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston where he is an honour roll student.

Among Christian Vegh’s numerous awards is the American and Canadian Federation of Musicians 2016 Charles McDaniel Youth Award. This award is presented once every three years to a musician between the ages of 16 and 35 years old who shows outstanding potential in “Diversity, Creativity, Innovation and Excellence in Music.” Vegh was unanimously voted by the judges to receive the award and scholarship at the 100th Convention of the American Federation of Musicians in Los Vegas.

Christian Vegh’s latest 2017 release, the original single “Worthy” focuses more on lyrics and vocals, and was recorded with Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr Band) & Matt Bissonette (Elton John Band) Produced by Christian Vegh, Stacy Heydon (David Bowie Band) & Marty Bak at SLR Canada & Studio City Sound Los Angeles. Vegh also released a self titled 4 track EP in 2014, and another 6 track EP in 2016.
