Buckle up because the City of Windsor Children’s Services annual Meet A Machine event is set to run virtually throughout the month with special Zoom programing and prize pack giveaways from June 7 to 11, 2021.
Usually held in the parking lot of the WFCU Centre, the event has been moved online due to COVID-19 safety precautions. Meet A Machine will deliver exciting interactive virtual experiences and messages from machine operators in our community. One of the participants this year include the Gordie Howe International Bridge which will be showcasing a tower crane during the event.
Videos will be posted throughout the month on the EarlyON social media accounts. Special Zoom programming will take place for the week of June 7 with prize packs available to be won. Registration is required.
In addition, curbside packages (including a children’s book per child) will be available between 9:30-11:30am & 1:00-3:00pm at the following locations Gino Marcus Community Complex (June 7), Forest Glade Community Centre (June 9), Capri Pizzeria Complex (June 11) and additional curbsides are to be announced on social media.
Meet-A-Machine is an annual community literacy event hosted by City of Windsor Children’s Services. Machines of all shapes and sizes, including emergency vehicles, construction equipment, military trucks, buses, forestry trucks, race cars, tow trucks and much more are showcased for children to discover and explore.
