Windsor’s Art In The Park Is A Go Proceeding a Little Differently For 2021
Art in the Park 2021 looks a little different this year!
The Rotary Club of Windsor (1918) and the Virtual Art in the Park Committee announced that they are keeping the spirit of Art in the Park alive for 2021 – albeit much different than the community is used to.
The first ever Art in the Park Auction featuring 40 vendors will take place on June 5 at 9:00am to June 6 at 6:00pm.
In an Instagram post Rotary announced, “we had to cancel Art in the Park in 2020 and now 2021, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the public announcement of the cancellation, we received numerous phone calls from the public. They had expressed their understanding and support of our decision to cancel the event again this year, but they had also expressed their sadness.”
“The Windsor Essex Community has been contacting us to share stories and express their desire to know where they can purchase from the Art in the Park Exhibitors. Several noted a favourite Exhibitor they buy from every year and others have even spoke about wanting a unique piece to celebrate a milestone birthday or anniversary.”
After a lot of thought, Rotary has concluded that holding a virtual auction could be beneficial to the Art in the Park Exhibitors, local and far-away supporters and the Rotary Club of Windsor (1918).
“We are so grateful for your understanding in our decision to cancel the in-person event and we hope that you will support the first of its kind Art in the Park Auction!”
