Organizers of the annual Miss Tecumseh Pageant have announced there will be another emotional passing of the crown in a virtual event to be held at the end of August 2021.

The last time the crown was passed on in 2019, Miss Tecumseh Suzie Sawicki placed it onto the head an emotional Miss Tecumseh Melina Svab. The pageant was cancelled last year due to the pandemic and Svab has held the crown for nearly two years.

Contestants will also have scholarship opportunities. Those interested in applying must be between the ages of 18 and 25 years old and must reside in Windsor-Essex County. No previous pageant experience is required.

Registration is $50 and opens June 1, 2021. To apply visit tecumsehrec.ca and click on “Activities” where you will find the pageant program link.

The Miss Tecumseh Pageant is to be held virtually on Saturday August 28, 2021 at 4:00pm.
