Yoga 4 Hope Health & Wellness Festival 2018
September 15 @ 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
The 10th Annual Yoga 4 Hope Health and Wellness Festival, organized by Transition to Betterness in support of the Pajama Angels Legacy Wing Power Fund takes place at the Bloomin’ Gardener on Saturday, September 15, 2018.
Yoga 4 Hope features 55 minute outdoor yoga classes all day long with local teachers every hour and one class with a featured yoga teacher.
This year’s headliner is Andrea Marcum, author or Close to Om. Her class, Awaken and Transform uses simple yoga poses alongside concepts from Andrea’s book Close to Om to help you find the space to transform a state of thinking from limitation to one of opportunity. In yoga philosophy this is called pratipaksha bhavana. During this vinyasa-flow practice appropriate for all levels of experience, you’ll be introduced to Andrea’s signature tools to transform negativity into possibility… your Stuckat List, and your Possibility Pose.
Enjoy participating in one or as many classes of your choice that you like.
There will also be a fun kid’s class.
In addition enjoy a wide variety of vendors and exhibitors, food, and live music.
An official Yoga 4 Hope After Party will be hosted at Ariius Nightclub! The after party includes champagne, appetizers, a live DJ, and raffle prizes. Advance tickets for the after party are $20 each, they may also be purchased at the door (if still available / not sold out in advance).
Registration for yoga classes begins at 7:30am and classes begin at 8:00am. All classes are 55 minutes long except for the 90 minute class with featured headliner Andrea Marcum.

About Yoga 4 Hope
As of May 1, 2018, Transition to Betterness partnered with Yoga 4 Hope founders, Pajama Angels United We Cure, a local non-profit charity, to continue their signature-funding program: Wing Power Fund.
The Wing Power Fund is intended to help people who experience financial hardship as a result of their cancer/chronic disease diagnosis and treatment. The program helps people at every point of their journey including diagnosis, treatment, palliative care and survivorship.
Pajama Angels was established in 2007 by two sisters Darlene Szecsei-Albano and Judy Beale, in honour of their late sister Maggie who lost her battle with cancer in 2002. It was their mission to provide integrative therapies for those with life-altering illnesses. The Wing Power Fund is intended to help those who experience financial hardship during their journey battling a life-altering illness. Thanks to this special partnership, Transition to Betterness will be able to continue providing financial support for these therapies.
Pajama Angels have raised $65,000 per year on average over 11 years and have supported many local initiatives and charities in addition to their own. Under their watch, the Yoga 4 Hope event alone raised $205,000 overall since 2008. Since 2013, they have helped over 198 people through their Wing Power Fund alone and disbursed over $127,000 in funding.
Although Pajama Angels may no longer be a physical organization as of May 1, 2018, the Wing Power Fund and Yoga 4 Hope is a great legacy that will continue to benefit the community.
All proceeds will support the Pajama Angels Wing Power Fund.
