Purple Theatre Company Presents Runaway by Brittni Brinn (Paper-Knife Theatre) | Windsor Writers Series

The Purple Theatre Company presents Runaway by Brittni Brinn (Paper-Knife Theatre), the fourth and final show in the Windsor Writers Series, at Mackenzie Hall on June 9-11, 2017.

As Patrick’s memory deteriorates, his daughter Kim has to renegotiate her ideas about personal freedom. Will she find a way for Patrick to retain his independence, or will she have to give up her individual goals to make sure he is taken care of?

This is the fourth and final show in the Windsor Writers Series, a collaboration between Windsor Feminist Theatre, The Purple Theatre Company, Opia Theatre Collective and Paper-Knife Theatre. Windsor authors from each company have been meeting together for several months on the The Windsor Writers Series that will bring four original locally written shows to the public over a four month period.

Friday, June 9 at 8:00pm
Saturday, June 10 at 8:00pm
Sunday, June 11 at 2:00pm

Tickets are $15 each ($10 for students). Sunday matinees are Pay What You Can, with limited seating.

Tickets for multiple shows in the Windsor Writers Series are available: 3 Shows for $40 or 4 Shows for $50.

“The Bolt House” by Lydia Friesen (Windsor Feminist Theatre)

The Bolt House begins with Marley beginning at a new job whose quirks leave her dumbfounded. Together, she and her new coworkers must find a way to overcome the unique challenges of corporate life.
