The 7th Annual Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry Bowl-a-thon takes place at REVS Rose Bowl Lanes on Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Teams made up of members from several local law firms, their families, and friends will take part in the fun.
The fundraiser is organized by lawyers in the Windsor area in support of the Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry program. All funds raised stay and support local.
The Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry program, launched in September 2010, helps provide meals to the vulnerable and impoverished in Windsor. This important year-round program serves an average of 200 guests per meal, twice a month on Wednesdays at The Downtown Mission. In addition, the program provides volunteers from the legal community to serve the meals on these days. In addition, the group sends weekly food home with school children through their Blessings in a Backpack program and supports food banks and other programs in our community.
Lawyers Feed the Hungry programs fight hunger year-round in Toronto, Barrie, London, Ottawa and Windsor. Founded in 1962, The Law Society Foundation is a registered Canadian charity administered by The Law Society of Upper Canada. Part of the Foundation’s mandate is reaching out to those in need through their Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program.
The Windsor Lawyers Feed the Hungry Program steering committee includes Colleen Caza, Kenneth Marley, Kathleen Montello and Rose Faddoul.
