Walking Wednesdays returns to Windsor for a second season starting May 3, 2017, and this year’s kick-off will include the Canadian Mental Health Association’s (CMHA) Sole Focus Project.
The Walking Wednesdays program is a joint venture between the City of Windsor Workplace Wellness and Caesars Windsor which encourages health and wellness by walking as group every Wednesday during lunch hour.
Since the Walking Wednesdays kick-off falls within CMHA’s National Mental Health Week (May 1-7, 2017) organizers felt this would be the perfect opportunity to help raise mental health awareness in addition to physical health and wellness.
Everyone is encouraged to join Mayor Drew Dilkens and “show their soles” on May 3rd at 12:30pm at Charles Clark Square in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Sole Focus Project.
More About Windsor’s Walking Wednesdays
The public, City of Windsor and Caesars Windsor employees are invited to meet at Charles Clark Square and then enjoy a walk that incorporates the beautiful scenery along Windsor’s Riverfront Trail.
Walks take place throughout the spring and summer. The group departs at 12:30pm and 1:30pm every Wednesday.
City of Windsor employees who attend one of the Walking Wednesdays (and writes their name on the sign-in sheet) will be entered into a monthly draw to win a $50 Gift Card.
