Walk for Alzheimer’s 2020 (Virtual and Streamed Online) | Windsor, ON

May 31 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Walk For Alzheimer's Windsor Essex Poster Leamington and Windsor

The 6th Annual Walk For Alzheimer’s organized by the Alzheimer Society of Windsor-Essex County originally set to take place at The Ford Test Track has been changed to a virtual event and will also be streamed online on Sunday, May 31, 2020.

Walk for Alzheimer’s is Canada’s biggest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias.

Monies raised support programs and services in your community that improve the quality of life for people living with dementia and their families, and support other activities like education and public awareness.

Walks take place every year in 150 communities across Canada.

Connect virtually and have fun as a group! Do a dance, walk the stairs, jump rope, walk around the block. Join Alzheimer Societies coast-to-coast, starting at 9am PST/noon EST, for a fun and exciting “televised” event streamed online. The event can be watched from anywhere with an internet connection! Watch, walk or fundraise – or do all three! while you stream the Walk live from the comfort and safety of your home or backyard, to recognize and honor friends and family members who have been affected by dementia.

For more information about the Windsor Walk For Alzheimer’s, to register as a team or individual, volunteer or sponsor a participant click here.

Locally, it is estimated that over 7,200 individuals have dementia, and this number is growing. Now, more than ever, having services and supports locally are vital to our Windsor and Essex County community, but we can’t do it without your help.
