Amherstburg True Festival and .5k Cupid Dash

The inaugural Amherstburg TRUE Festival and 0.5k Cupid Dash takes place in downtown Amherstburg on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
Enjoy a 70’s themed, street dance party featuring celebrity DJ’s Josh Karmin and Kevin Bailey so you can boogie down and stay warm!
The events starts with the ERCA .5k Cupid Dash for hilarious antics followed by live performers Koko Starr and Disc Jesus. Bad Axe throwing, a licensed area by Wolfhead Distillery, a contest to win a $1000 staycation package featuring a B&B, dinner for two, jewelry, gift certificates and more by the Amherstburg Chamber of Commerce.
“We encourage everyone to come out during Valentine’s and Family Day weekend for this free event. Check out our many restaurants, all within walking distance of the festival, then chill at the dance party,” said Tourism Coordinator, Jen Ibrahim.
The Amherstburg Cupid Dash .5k is a warm up to the TRUE Festival, 70’s dance party. Guests will dash through the King’s Navy Yard Park and participate in some hilarious antics along the route!
A pre-dash social and registration will take place at Happier Camper, 2pm-4pm. In order to maintain your prime physique for the 500 metres of vigorous exercise pre-dash nourishment and nutrient rich hot chocolate will be served while you register.
The first 250 to register will receive gold wings to assist them with their valentine antics.

Wear mutlukks, heels, snowsuits, wigs or toques or any other equipment you require to sustain the rigors of this .5k dash.
This is an inclusive event and intended for all ages.
Portions of all proceeds raised will go to the Essex Region Conservation Authority and the Amherstburg Community Foundation’s ERCA Trail Initiative.
