The Spirits of Amherstburg Ghost Walk Tour presented by Monkeys With A Typewriter Theatre Company takes you into the eerie haunted happenings that are legendary in the old historic town of Amherstburg, Ontario.
The Amherstburgh Ghost Tours take place throughout October starting at 8:30pm on the 4th, 11th, 18th, 19th, 25th, and 26th.
The tour begins with cloaked figures greeting you at King’s Navy Yard and taking you through old Amherstburg explaining facts, legends, and haunted houses/businesses through scary storytelling along the way.
Hear how the Gordon House has a strange spirit that likes to make the sound of breaking glass. Or the sinister apparition that presented itself in a picture someone once took of the Commissiarat. Or how several people claim to have seen the face of a young boy staring out the window of Park House Museum back in the days when it was actually vacant.
Along with those tales, the Tour will specifically focus on stories concerning certain houses in the town that are said to be haunted. Like a home on Texas Road that kept seeing their neighbour standing in her driveway even after she died. Or the Amherstburg family that had to finally move out of their house because a headless specter was appearing in their livingroom.
In addition, hear about local legends and broaden your knowledge of Amherstburg’s rich history. Enjoy an evening of creepy story-telling with a few “jump-moments” as Rob Tymec and his Monkeys With A Typewriter Theatre Company take you on The Spirits of Amherstburg Ghost Walk.
