Enjoy Italian culture, food, music, games and family fun during the 30th Annual St. Angela Merici Festival in Windsor’s Via Italia on August 12 & 13, 2017.
Outdoor activities include live music, dancing, children’s games, and a food tent.
New on the menu this year is the breaded veal sandwich with peppers and onions. Also being served in the food tent are penne, sausage, rice balls, trippa, pizza and more. Take out is also available.
The festival also has games for the young and young at heart. Starting at 2 pm August 13 enjoy a water balloon toss, pignata, tug-of-war and watermelon eating contest. “Games on The Move” mobile video game trailer will be at the festival starting at 1 pm.
Saturday evening’s entertainment features local bands Disaster Strike and Big Louie and the Band.
Starting at 3:30pm on Sunday the musical entertainment includes Voci Ciociare, Canadian Conservatory of Music Talent Exhibition, Michael Ciufo and Musically Yours.
Crostoli are among the tempting Italian treats. The festival ends with a Sunday evening Mass and candlelight procession through the neighborhood.

St. Angela Merici Church, Centre & Hall is located at 750 Erie Street East in Windsor, Ontario’s via Italia (Little Italy).
