SCAR: South Coast Adventure Race 2019 Championship Edition

The 5th Annual SCAR: South Coast Adventure Race, a 5 year anniversary Championship Edition, takes place takes place in the Windsor-Essex region on Saturday, June 15, 2019.
Organized by the Essex Region Conservation Authority (ERCA) and their rotary partners this multi-sport adventure race challenges participants’ mental and physical toughness. At its core, an adventure race is an endurance event that combines two or more disciplines and involves teamwork and navigation using a map and compass. This special Championship Edition is presented by Kinetic Konnection, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Windsor St. Clair.
The SCAR has come a long way in the last five years, and organizers want to celebrate by creating a championship caliber course including all of the best natural elements that Windsor-Essex has to offer. The 6th edition of SCAR will be the only Adventure Race in Southwestern Ontario that is 12-14 hours in length, and will feature all the disciplines that makes SCAR a favourite in the adventure racing community.
SCAR is also a member of the Canadian Adventure Racing Association (CARA) and the Adventure Racing Ontario Association. SCAR participants are eligible to collect up to 100 points towards the Adventure Racing Ontario series, depending on performance in the race.
As with all adventure races, The SCAR course will be kept secret until race day.
A post-race bash, delicious dinner and awards ceremony will follow.
Spectators are welcome to watch the race free of charge. However, tickets are required to participate in the dinner.
