In honour of Remembrance Day, the Chimczuk Museum will be offering free admission on Saturday, November 11, 2017.
In addition to free admission from 10am-5pm, the Chimczuk Museum will be hosting a guided tour of their new exhibit: Sacrifice & Courage: The Dieppe Raid Remembered.
2017 marks the 75th anniversary of the Dieppe Raid which took place on August 19th, 1942. The raid was the only large scale assault on the coast of German occupied France prior to the allied landings in Normandy in June 1944. Also happening at the museum local authors Jonathan Pinto, Marty Gervais, Elaine Weeks, and Chris Edwards will be providing short talks about their recent publications followed by book signings in the Chimczuk Museum Gift Shop.
