Royal Canadian Legion Fort Malden Branch 157 will be holding a Remembrance Day parade, memorial service and wreath laying in Amherstburg on Saturday November 11, 2017.
The parade will begin at the legion at 10:30am proceeding through historic downtown Amherstburg.
The parade will travel North on Dalhousie Street, turn riight onto Murray Street (East), turn left onto Sandwich St. (North), and left onto Richmond St. (West), where dignitaries will take the salute in front of the Canada Post offices.
The parade will then proceed down Richmond Street to Dalhousie street stopping at the cenotaph in King’s Navy Yard Park for the Remembrance Ceremony and wreath laying taking place from 11am to 12pm.
After the ceremony, the parade will conclude the precession by returning to the Amherstburg Legion where refreshments will be served.

This year’s Remembrance Day Parade and ceremony is expected to be the largest Legion parade in Amherstburg since the ending of World War II.
