Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast With Windsor Firefighters

August 30 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Windsor Fire and Rescue Fire Truck Engine No. 4

Windsor Fire & Rescue Services (WFRS) host a summer-long tradition, Hot Summer Nights Fun Blast, on Thursday evenings at a different park in Windsor each week on the following dates June 21, 28, July 5, 12, 19, August 2, 9, 16, 23, & 30, 2018.

Some summer nights are so hot, even the wind can’t be bothered to move. What better time to head to the park with family and neighbours for a cooling fire truck sprinkler run, a visit with Sparky and a chance to meet Windsor Fire and Rescue Services and Fire Prevention staff for truck tours and fire safety information.

Residents have the chance to go over some lifesaving tips and reminders while getting acquainted with WFRS staff. Kids can check out the fire trucks, participate in hand-on activities, and ask any fire safety questions.

The firefighters will be grilling hotdogs and providing water or orange drink which are free to those who attend on a first come, first serve basis.

Community partners on board this year are: Belfor Property Restoration, Unifor 444, Stiemar Bread Co., Dowler Karn, Pro Trades, SBT Construction, Champion Paper, Culligan Water, Farron’s Meats, McDonald’s Canada (Wyandotte & Goyeau).
