Proceeds will help support Hope Air
Hope Air is the registered charity that arranges free flights for low-income Canadians to access vital medical care. Everyday in Canada, people are diagnosed with illnesses that require treatment far from home. Travel is expensive and financial aid is scarce. Flight gives them hope. Since 1986, Hope Air has arranged over 117,000 life-changing flights. Their mission is championed by Give Hope Wings.
Give Hope Wings is an innovative fundraiser headed by a small group of volunteer pilots. In January-February, 2018, three crew will fly two homebuilt aircraft 20,000 miles to circumnavigate Central and South
America, visiting 20 countries along their route. The purpose of this flight is to raise $500,000 in support of Hope Air.
Give Hope Wings is an idea conceived by volunteer pilots passionate about generosity, flying and comradery. Local Windsorite, aviation enthusiast, pilot and aircraft builder Russ Airey will be piloting his RV9A two-seat airplane in this adventure.
