The FAM-ily Picnic is the Harvesting The FAM Festivals biggest collaborative arts event to date! For over a decade the team has been striving to bring arts and the community together through the presentation of film, fashion, art and music events throughout the core of the city.
Murad Erzinclioglu, Creative Director & Co-Creator of Harvesting The FAM Festival says, “The FAM-ily Picnic is all about celebrating ‘who we are’ as a city! It is also meant to examine the reclamation of public space and to develop better ways to foster growth, understanding and a strong sense of community pride. Is it the money that goes into an event or is it about the people…? Is it about the profit-margins or the impact…? In both cases, I think it’s the latter and the FAM-ily Picnic aims to prove it.”
“We are working to create a completely free, safe and public space for people of all denominations to enjoy all our community has to offer in the hopes they will continue to support it in the future. A space for people to share their talents and dreams and for others to learn from and bask in them. Please do join us and help us prove our theory!”
Bert Weeks Memorial Gardens is located at 340 Riverside Drive E.
