Dark Sky Night at Point Pelee National Park
October 13 @ 7:00 pm - 11:55 pm
Enjoy a spectacular view of the stars during Dark Sky Night at Point Pelee National Park on Saturday, October 13, 2018.
Point Pelee National Park is staying open until midnight so visitors can join members of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada to experience the most exhilarating stargazing experience in our region.
This is also FREE Admission Day at the park.
In 2017, to celebrate Canada 150, Parks Canada offered free admission and welcomed over 27 million visitors to their national parks, national marine conservation areas and national historic sites. What better way to say “thank you” to their visitors than to offer a free admission day?
Point Pelee National Park is designated as a Dark Sky Preserve by the Windsor Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada.
Be sure to dress warm and bring your binoculars and telescopes, or take a look through one of the special telescopes on site for the evening.
These dates offer the darkest skies for optimum viewing.
