The Coldest Night of The Year, Canada’s national walk for homelessness, takes place in Windsor at the Downtown Mission on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Downtown Mission serves people living with poverty in Windsor. Your involvement in this walk impacts hundreds of lives in a positive way, helping build a bright future that once seemed out of reach.
The 2, 5 or 10 km walk provides each participant the opportunity to help fundraise for the Downtown Mission and feel a hint of the challenge faced by those experiencing homelessness – particularly during the winter.
4:00 – Registration opens
5:00 – Opening Ceremonies
5:15 – Walk begins (all distances)
6:00 – Registration closes & meal service begins
8:00 – Route and meal services ends
Between 6:00 and 8:00 pm a warm, light meal will be served to all walkers and volunteers. So, be sure to linger with us afterwards, share some laughs, hang with some friends and celebrate the walk – at least till you warm up.

The Coldest Night of the Year is a family-friendly national walk-a-thon that is a charitable program of Blue Sea Foundation, a registered Canadian Foundation. Since 2011, the Coldest Night of the Year has raised over $21,400,000 in support of 132 charity partners serving the homeless, hungry, and hurting across Canada.
Each Coldest Night of the Year location is operated by a local, community-based registered Canadian charity working in agreement with the Coldest Night of the Year.
