Carrousel of The Nations 2018 | Experience Windsor’s Cultural Diversity
June 22 @ 5:30 pm - June 24 @ 11:00 pm
Experience Windsor’s cultural diversity and multi-ethnic foods during the Multicultural Council of Windsor and Essex County’s annual Carrousel of Nations around the city at various villages on June 15-17 & 22-24, 2018.
This year’s Carrousel is being dubbed, “First In Taste”.
Over two weekends, ethno-cultural groups open their cultural centres in celebration of their country. Visitors can delight in the tastes, sounds and traditions of these cultures as they present the greatest music, dance, history, art, and especially the food of their country. One warning – once you start indulging in Polish pierogis, German sausages, Italian pasta, and Romanian pastries – it will be difficult to stop!
Carrousel Villages Week 1
Villages operating during the first week of Carrousel of The Nations all around the city include Bavarian, Caribbean, Filipino, Greek, Hungarian, Macedonian, Polish, Romanian, Scottish, and Serian Gracanica villages.
Carrousel Villages Week 2
Villages operating during the second week of Carrousel of the Nations around the city include Bavarian, Caribbean, Chinese, German, Greek, Scottish, Serbian St. Dimitrije, Via Italia, and Slovak villages.

Carrousel of the Nations originated in June 1974, when the Arts Committee of Windsor, with the help of a $3,500 grant from the Ministry of Culture and Recreation, presented Windsor’s inaugural Multicultural Festival.
