Grammy Award Winning Blues Legend Buddy Guy & Blues Prodigy Quinn Sullivan Live at Caesars Windsor
October 3 @ 9:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Grammy Award winning American blues guitarist and singer Buddy Guy with special guest young Blues prodigy Quinn Sullivan will perform at The Colosseum in Caesars Windsor on Wednesday, October 3, 2018.
Caesars Windsor is thrilled to welcome the incredible talents of Chicago’s electric blues legend, singer and guitar master, the one and only Buddy Guy. Blues prodigy 18-year old Quinn Sullivan will be opening the show.
Quinn and Buddy met a decade ago when at only seven years old, the young musical virtuoso was called on stage at a Buddy Guy show to demonstrate his unbelievable singing and guitar skills. Trading lick for lick, Quinn was able to match the Legend’s ability, impressing him with his natural talent. Quinn has described that first encounter as ‘magical’. Since then, he has been taken under Buddy’s wing, remaining his protégé to this day and joining him on tour throughout his career.
Buddy Guy is ranked 30th in Rolling Stone magazine’s “100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time”, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and seven time Grammy award winner, Buddy Guy broke boundaries between musical genres, influencing an impressive roster of legendary musicians throughout his career including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Keith Richards, John Mayer, Slash and more. An outstanding live performer, audiences are intrigued by his unique ‘Chicago blues’ style that bridges rock and blues. Guy’s guitar technique has heavily influenced rock and roll, pioneering distortion and feedback techniques, long solos and shifting between volumes and texture. His sound features the deepest traditional blues to a more edgy flair, blended with rock, soul and free jazz. His song “Stone Crazy” was ranked 78th in the Rolling Stone’s 100 Greatest Guitar Songs of All Time.
