Battle of The Hors D’oeuvres 2018 | Caesars Windsor

That’s right, it’s time for Battle of the Hors D’oeuvres 2018 and Windsor Essex County’s top chefs from area restaurants and hospitality businesses will compete at one of Windsor’s most exciting food competitions in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Windsor Essex.
The 32nd Annual Battle of the Hors D’oeuvres, this year featuring 21 of Windsor’s finest food & beverage establishments, has been re-scheduled for Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Caesars Windsor.
Please note this event was rescheduled from May 10th to September 19th due to a labour dispute at Caesars Windsor. The information below was for the event on May 10th and some of the information, participants, etc. may change for the new event. We will post the details as soon as they are made available.
Doors Open at 6:30pm
For the last six years the lounge party format has been a great success. No longer a sit down gala, the Battle has become an after business interactive networking event. An indoor food and drink festival! This event offers an opportunity for guests to schmooze with some of Windsor’s finest food and beverage establishments, while enjoying creative cuisine, drinks, networking, and supporting youth mentoring programs in Windsor and Essex County.
This year promises to be even bigger and better with another great evening full of fun, food, drinks and fundraising.
Artisan Grill, Caesars Windsor, Cortina Gourmet Market, The Grove Brew House, Macro Foods Inc., Nola’s, The Orwell Public House, Parkside Grill, Smashed Apple Gourmet Catering, Snackbar-B-Q, Thyme To-Go, Twiggs Bar & Grill, and Good Neighbour (formerly The Willistead).
BREW, Canadian Club, Frank Brewing Co., The Grove Brew House, Muscedere Vineyards, Pelee Island Winery, Sprucewood Shores Estate Winery, and Walkerville Brewery.

For the fifth year in a row the event will be held at Caesars Windsor in the Augustus Ballroom.
A celebrity panel of judges will vote and crown the 2018 Critic’s Choice Awards. Theyinclude Chef John Kukucka from Essex Golf & Country Club, Chef Daniele Palanca from Ambassador Golf Club, and Pina Ciotoli from Windsor Eats.
The public will also have the opportunity to vote for their favourite hor d’oeuvre in order to crown the 2018 People’s Choice Award Winner!
Local musician, Jake van Dongen, will return to provide live entertainment for the third year in a row.
