The Windsor and District Labour Council’s annual Labour Day Parade and Picnic brought out thousands of community members in a show of solidarity on Monday, September 3, 2018.
The parade took place between the Unifor Local 200/444 Union Hall and Fogolar Furlan Club proceeding along Walker Road to the E.C. Row Service Road. Thousands of union leaders, union workers, and supporters marched in support of workers, social justice and a call for changes for a better community.
Afterwards at the Fogolar participants heard speeches from the labour community and enjoyed lots of family fun including live entertainment with arts and crafts, facepainting, bouncy castles for the kids, a free bbq, and a classic car show.
