A record 1,600 plus participants took on the 7th annual Heart Breaker Challenge mud obstacle course at Malden Park on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Participants had fun getting dirty while crawling in mud, walking through water, crawling through tubes, carrying objects, and climbing walls.
The course, approximately 5km in length, offered roughly 37 man-made and natural obstacles.
“We are overjoyed to announce that this year’s Heart Breaker Challenge has surpassed our previous fundraising totals, officially raising $125,000 for Cardiac Wellness, Stroke and Pulmonary Rehab Programs,” announced Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare in a press release.
“With this amount, the Heart Breaker Challenge has raised nearly $700,000 in the past seven years.”
“These funds are life-changing for the hundreds of patients we serve each year through these programs.”
This annual event is a fundraiser 100% organized by volunteers, and all the money raised benefits programs at Hotel-Dieu Grace Healthcare.
