A Steady Stream of People Celebrated Earth Hour 2018 at Charles Clark Square

As millions of people around the world turned out the lights to acknowledge Earth Hour, the community joined the City of Windsor to celebrate and “Let Nature Shine” at Charles Clark Square on Saturday, March 24, 2018.

Despite the cold temperature a stead stream of people kept passing through to celebrate Earth Hour.

At 8:30pm the lights went dark as people enjoyed family fun including live unplugged musical entertainment featuring Stiletto Fire, Mad Science shows, interactive painting with light art, glow in the dark fitness with SueSanity Fitness, an electric vehicle on display by the Windsor-Essex Electric Vehicle Association, treats and hot chocolate courtesy of The Hub concession stand, exhibits, information booths, games, giveaways, and more.

Spiderman even came to town to celebrate and was one of the favourite attractions for children.

This event was hosted by the City of Windsor, presented by Caesars Windsor Cares Code Green, and Enwin Utilities. The event was sponsored by AM800.
